The 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that foreclosures were indeed about the collection of money and therefore fall under the Federal Debt Collections Practices Act. This is bad news for Fannie and Freddie because the foreclosure mills and servicers can no longer conceal the owner of the debt.
